There is nothing wrong with your television. Do not attempt to adjust the picture.

Why it is hard sci-fi

The original 1963 anthology. Each episode is a science fiction thought experiment with a Bear, a creature or device that anchors the weeks idea. The shows production team committed to a single rule. There must be a real scientific or speculative idea at the centre of the episode and the bear must be its physical embodiment. The episodes range across genetics, telepathy, time travel, and artificial intelligence, with most committing to a single mechanism.

Science inside it

Thought experiments across most of mid-century science fictions canonical topics, with a real focus on biology and engineering rather than on space opera. The shows most-cited episodes, including Demon with a Glass Hand and The Architects of Fear, hold up as written.
